Location on Exmoor
This delightful self catering apartment lies in a peaceful rural location at the foot of Dunkery Hill on the edge of the charming village of Wootton Courtenay and enjoys sweeping all round views of Exmoor. The village shop is a short walk away and numerous stunning walks through the moors and woodlands of Exmoor are literally on the doorstep. Webber’s Post, a well known viewing spot and starting point for many beautiful walks is within easy walking distance.
Watch the Red Deer on Exmoor from the comfort of the apartment or, better still take a short walk and view them at closer quarters. In the autumn listen to the stags rutting and all year round see the hardy Exmoor Ponies on the moor and majestic buzzards wheeling above you.
Enjoy the dark sky delights of Exmoor and see the Milky Way from the garden on clear moonless nights.

The self catering apartment is situated in a beautiful part of the Exmoor National Park and is in an ideal location from which to explore the extraordinary beauty and variety of the Exmoor landscape. Become acquainted with the stunning coastline between Minehead and Combe Martin, where Exmoor dives steeply into the sea; the brooding, wild, open moorland areas of Dunkery Hill, Winsford Hill and Brendon Common; the beautiful and ancient oak woodlands at Cloutsham; the historic clapper bridge at Tarr Steps, and the packhorse bridges at Allerford and Dunster and of course the chocolate box villages of Dunster, Winsford, Allerford, Selworthy, Bossington and Oare.
Activites on Exmoor
Mountain biking and horse riding are ideal ways to see all that Exmoor has to offer, but you don’t have to be energetic to get the most out of this beautiful area of the country. Take a trip by steam train on the longest privately owned railway in the country. Visit the many properties owned by the National Trust in the area, including Dunster Castle, the Holnicote Estate, Coleridge Cottage, Arlington Court and Knightshayes Court and don’t forget all those wonderful tea gardens, pubs and restaurants.
